This makes me think of the importance of touch when you have a child. A hug, a cuddle, a simple ruffle of their hair or stroke of their cheek gives a child a world of love and security. If we could all remember that it isn’t just children who need the smile, the hug, a kind “hello” or the pat on the back…

I remember every day of my life how my dogs made me feel, when I was a kid. Now that I am older and they are gone, I still remember how they made me feel. And I am grateful.
