LA2050: We need your vote

October 20, 2015 | BY Maile Zambuto | FILED UNDER JHF BLOG >

Big news. This year, We are competing in this year's LA2050 Challenge to win $100,000 to support our holistic healing programs that help survivors heal from sexual assault, domestic violence and child abuse.

With your support, we will evaluate and document our retreat model and create a replication plan for agencies in Los Angeles and beyond to bring holistic healing programs to survivors and those who care for them. Today, I'm asking if you will take a moment and vote for our project today?

How it works:

1. VISIT our LA2050 project on good.is.

2. CLICK "vote for this idea" to vote for Joyful Heart.

3. LOG IN with your GOOD account.

If you don't have a GOOD account, it's free to join. All you need is an email address or a Facebook account to register.

4. Verify your vote.

You'll be emailed a link that you need to click in order to first verify your email address. Be sure to click on it—otherwise, your vote won't go through!

Once you've voted, you'll get a notification at the top of the screen verifying that your vote has been counted.

Remember, you can only vote once, so after you vote, be sure to help spread the word by posting on your social media and forwarding this email to a friend. Voting ends November 3rd.

Every day, we face the reality that the overwhelming need for our survivor retreat program continually exceeds its availability. Yet we we also know that it transforms lives.

No person who reaches out to us deserves to be turned away from a chance to heal more fully through this program. Your vote will help make sure that every survivor who reaches out to us will be met with a path to holistic healing. As one service provider told us:

"Joyful Heart needs to be the inspiration for this model of healing across the world. Give others a new set of tools to use."

Now, we are undertaking the work to do excactly that. Your vote will make it possible. Thank you in advance for your support.

With hope and abundant joy,

Maile Zambuto
