Fundraising Ideas that We Won’t Be Able to Approve

We are so appreciative of your ideas to fundraise for Joyful Heart! And, we try our best to support your creative efforts. However, we also must make sure that DIY fundraising ideas are aligned with our mission, vision and commitment to serving survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence and child abuse.

If your DIY fundraising idea involves any of the following themes, we regret that we will be unable to approve and support your efforts:

  • Violent or sexually graphic content in any form (this would include any violent written content, violent visual content, violent film, music or theatrical content, or items for sale that involve violence of any kind).
  • Clinical content that is not used in Joyful Heart’s program curriculum (this would include a percentage of sales from therapeutic books, practices or healing modalities).
  • The use of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit likeness or Mariska Hargitay’s name or image.
  • The requirement of Joyful Heart’s participation in promotions or media for the success of the fundraising effort.
  • The requirement of Joyful Heart to incur any costs.
  • Any product development or sales that would conflict with our existing partners in our Heartshop.
