Mariska Hargitay’s Joyful Heart Foundation Selected to Participate in Bloomberg Tradebook’s “Trick or Trade” Charity Event
October 15, 2012, New York — Bloomberg Tradebook has selected the Joyful Heart Foundation, whose mission is to heal, educate and empower survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence and child abuse, and to shed light into the darkness that surrounds these issues, as one of the four non-profit organizations to participate in its “Trick of Trade” Charity Day.
Bloomberg Tradebook, Bloomberg LP’s leading global agency broker, will host the event at its offices on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 to help raise funds for leading charities that support a diverse range of causes.
As the Founder & President of Joyful Heart, Mariska Hargitay will serve as the organization’s celebrity spokesperson for the “Trick or Trade” Charity Day. The Emmy award-winning actress from Law & Order: Special Victims Unit will not only be interacting with Bloomberg customers during her time at the charity event but she will also be on-hand to speak to the work and mission of Joyful Heart.
Other charities and celebrity spokespeople include Tiki Barber from The Fresh Air Fund, Darryl Dawkins from the Ronald McDonald House New York and Jerry Stiller from The Actors Fund. In the spirit of Halloween, the trading floor will be directed and celebrities, Bloomberg employees, executives and clients will all be dressed in costume.
Accredited members of the press who would like to attend the event should contact Jessica Varon from Joyful Heart or Sophie Fischman from Cognito Media.
