She famously gained 19lbs of muscle to play a boxer in Million Dollar Baby, a movie which earned her a second Academy Award for Best Actress. And while Hilary Swank is no longer doing such extensive training, she is still in fantastic shape. The 39-year-old highlighted her slim but healthy figure on Thursday while attending a charity event hosted by Mariska Hargitay.

Hilary was sporting a pretty plum coloured dress which nipped in at her waist and boasted a beaded neckline. The star teamed the elegant frock, which fell just below her knees, with black pumps and wore her brunette locks straight and glossy. Hilary was on the red carpet at Milk Studios in Los Angeles to support Law And Order star Mariska’s Joyful Heart Foundation which aims to combat domestic violence and sexual assault.

The event, titled JoyRocks, also celebrated the launch of Mariska’s No More PSA campaign, and was attended by several of the actress’ famous friends.

Mariska, 49, wore a grey embellished T-shirt with black leather trousers, a matching blazer and two tone pumps.

She was joined on the red carpet by her co-star and close friend Chris Meloni who held her hand as they posed together.

Patricia Arquette, 45, wore a grey dress under a tweed jacket while her sister Rosanna, 54, sported an all-black ensemble of jacket, skinny jeans and boots.

Kiernan Shipka and Joely Fisher were amongst other stars at the benefit, both ignoring the start of autumn by opting for colourful dresses.

Meanwhile Christa Miller, Maria Bello, Shohreh Aghdashloo and Nia Vardalos all took a leaf out of Rosanna’s book and sported black. To see more photos, click here.
