Take a Stand Against Violence

The numbers are shocking: new research indicates that more than half of 15 to 22 year olds know someone who has been a victim of sexual assault or domestic violence. On March 13 advocates in the U.S. came together to launch a movement, NO MORE, dedicated to bringing this issue out of the shadows. 

"The case in Steubenville tells us that we are failing to effectively educate our young people on how to intervene and stand up for one another," says Marjorie Gilberg, executive director of Break the Cycle, a nonprofit dedicated to ending dating violence. "It is imperative that we start making the right thing to do be synonymous with the 'cool' thing to do."
