Our mission: To transform society’s response to sexual assault, domestic violence, and child abuse, support survivors’ healing, and end this violence forever.
Founded in 2004, Joyful Heart is a national organization dedicated to a vision of a world free of sexual assault, domestic violence, and child abuse. While we understand that this may not be achieved in our lifetimes, we continue to work toward it. We carry out our mission through a program portfolio in three integrated areas of healing, education, and advocacy. We conduct all our work with the underlying spirit of collaboration, community, and support for survivors.
Since our inception, we have raised more than $32 million and received $117 million in in-kind contributions and donated services, and reached more than 18,500 people through our healing programs. We have connected with over 3.9 million people through our website and social media. We have garnered more than 10.2 billion impressions about our work and these issues in digital and print media. And we have effected policy changes in jurisdictions from New York to California.
