Help Us Turn Up the Volume! Vote for Joyful Heart in the Mashable Awards

November 10, 2011 | BY KatieSullivan | FILED UNDER JHF BLOG >

Many of you have probably heard of Mashable – it is a widely read online news and trends resource that focuses on business and technology. With 20 million unique visitors each month and 4 million social media followers, Mashable is a really important source on on digital innovation and how it empowers and inspires people around the world.

In November, the 5th annual Mashable Awards are open and we are encouraging all followers and friends of followers to nominate Joyful Heart in the "Must-Follow Non-Profit on Social Media" category. Being seen and heard by such a big and great website as Mashable is an incredible (and easy!) opportunity for each of us to spread the word about Joyful Heart's ongoing work to support survivors and about the issues of sexualassault, domestic violence and child abuse. If chosen by the Mashable editors in this category, the Joyful Heart would be honored in an international convention in Las Vegas in 2012. Our win would obviously be promoted on Mashable's website, greatly increasing the exposure for these issues.

How can you help, you ask? It’s simple!

  1. Visit: http://mashable.com/follow/contests/mashable-awards-2011/category/must-follow-non-profit-on-social-media/
  2. Type "Joyful Heart Foundation" in the "I Nominate" field.
  3. Choose to publish it on Facebook or Twitter so that your friends and followers to see and nominate us too!
  4. Do this again, once a day, until November 17.

Importantly, you can nominate us once per day for this category until the nomination period is over on November 17.

When you nominated us today, you won't be able to nominate again until tomorrow, even from your other social networks. Let us know if you have any questions. As always, THANK YOU for your support.
