This is Our Moment

During this holiday season, we reflect on the moments we have shared throughout the year. 2014 marks the tenth anniversary of the Joyful Heart Foundation—ten years of healing, educating and empowering survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence and child abuse.

We are filled with joy and gratitude as we celebrate our journey—the signposts we have heeded, the milestones we have reached and the goals we’ve realized in our work to end this violence. While we take stock of how far we have come and the hard work that remains, new possibilities continue to evolve.

Over the last year, we’ve ushered in extraordinary, meaningful steps toward change. We’re making great strides in expanding our signature healing and wellness programs, dedicating more resources than ever to transforming the healing journey for survivors. With the reach of our NO MORE PSA campaign surpassing an audience of 1 billion, and millions more reached through social media, our groundbreaking education and awareness campaigns are helping to create a society that no longer tolerates violence and abuse. We have played a vital role in watershed policy and advocacy reforms, shining a bright light onto the national rape kit backlog and helping to secure the funding and resources needed to end it for good.

When we began this work ten years ago, we knew that helping survivors heal—and making real change—would take compassion, vision, determination and perseverance. It would take fearlessness. It would take all of us standing together.

Your strength and support make everything possible. You are our joyful community, and we could not have come this far without you. In this time of giving and joy, please consider a gift to sustain our important work.

Thank you for your commitment, your resolve and your belief in change. You inspire us everyday. From the bottom of our hearts, we wish you a holiday filled with light, laughter and love.

With gratitude and brightest joy,
