Two Ways To Say NO MORE Today: October 25

October 23, 2015 | BY Joyful Heart | FILED UNDER JHF BLOG >

To commemorate Domestic Violence Awareness Month today, Joyful Heart, in collaboration with our very special partners, gives you two ways to say NO MORE to domestic violence and sexual assault.

First, tune in to a new #NOMOREexcuses marathon of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit on USA. Joyful Heart is teaming up with USA Network, NFL players and the NO MORE campaign for 14 powerful episodes of the show. The marathon will feature new original videos with Mariska Hargitay and New York Giants Linebacker Mark Herzlich, along with new messages from NFL stars—including Herzlich, William Gay (Pittsburgh Steelers), Andrew Hawkins (Cleveland Browns), Ben Watson (New Orleans Saints) and Jason Witten (Dallas Cowboys)—encouraging everyone to "get off the sidelines" to help end domestic violence and sexual assault.

USA Network has been using its immense reach to help end domestic violence and sexual assault, teaming up with Joyful Heart and NO MORE for the #NOMOREexcuses SVU marathons since April 2014—and we are so grateful to them.

The 14-hour marathon begins at 9:00am/8:00c on USA. Use the hashtag #NOMOREexcuses to join the conversation.

And no matter what team you root for, we can all celebrate that for today's Giants game, Joyful Heart is joining the team and their long-time partner My Sisters' Place (MSP) to honor Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Fans will be encouraged to speak out about domestic violence on social media and will receive local resources from MSP for further information and support.

For the game, Mariska herself will take the field for the coin toss, and a special call from Mariska and Mark Herzlich to fans to share what they say #NOMORE to will air on the jumbotron.

In the stadium, we’ll also be debuting a new Giants Say NO MORE PSA, directed by Mariska and developed by Rachel Howald of Y&R, featuring team owner John Mara and head coach Tom Coughlin, and players Herzlich, Eli Manning, Prince Amukamara, Devon Kennard and Andre Williams.

It doesn't matter who you're cheering for on Sunday—please share your own commitment by downloading the sign here. And if you're a Giants fan, you can get the Giants Say NO MORE sign here! Join in the conversation on social media by following @TheJHF and @MSPNY, and by using the hashtag #NOMORE.
