Feeling more frenzied than thankful? In the days leading up to Thanksgiving, it's way too easy to let travel plans, family drama and other stuff crowd out the really important part: the gratitude.

Get grateful right now with this three-step fix.
  1. Think of three things you're thankful for. Big things like a new job or small ones like a quality cup of coffee on a cold morning—it doesn't matter. It's all about recognizing the good.
  2. Send your three things out into the world. Share them by email or text, announce them with a Tweet or a status update—go old-school and send them to a friend via snail mail. Just give the good in your life some public props.
  3. Watch the thankfulness catch on. If you speak your gratitude out loud, the feeling will spread.
