Make Some Joyful Noise with Neiman Marcus Honolulu
Continuing its long-standing commitment to ending domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse, Neiman Marcus Honolulu hosted the Make Some Joyful Noise event in its Cusp department to benefit Joyful Heart.
The Make Some Joyful Noise event was held September 17 – 20 and began with a Me&Ro Jewelry trunk show. Robin Renzi, Designer and CEO of Me&Ro, has been an avid supporter of the Joyful Heart Foundation for years and even created the Joyful Heart Collection to raise money and awareness for Joyful Heart. Over the past 10 years, Me&Ro has added more than two dozen pieces to its collection—with 100% of proceeds from all of them directly supporting our work. We are deeply grateful.
A lunch on September 18, hosted by the Hawai‘i Hearts in the Neiman Marcus Cusp Department, provided the perfect venue for a fashion presentation featuring celebrity stylists Jordan Lane and Meg Chapman from Los Angeles, who previewedthe newest fall trends. The two stylists appeared earlier in the week on the Hawaii News Now Sunrise morning show to share their support of Joyful Heart’s work in Hawai‘i and promote the event.
The festivities continued the next day with a free, public fashion presentation and styling consultations by Jordan and Meg. Complimentary Ono pops and bottled water cooled shoppers on this hot Honolulu day while they watched the fall preview to the beat of DJ Toki. The new limited-edition Michael Stars Joyful Heart tees were a big draw, on sale in Hawai‘i before they are released nationally in November. The day ended with a social media contest giving away a Vince handbag to one lucky Instagramer. During the event, proceeds from the purchase of merchandise from Me&Ro, Michael Stars and Theory helped to fund the work of the Joyful Heart Foundation in Hawai‘i. We are so touched by the outpouring of support from our product partners—mahalo!
Neiman Marcus has been a longtime supporter of Joyful Heart in Hawai‘i, having sponsored multiple events benefiting Joyful Heart. We are delighted to welcome Gina Haverly as she takes over as General Manager for the Honolulu store—and we thank her for her commitment to our work.
