Introducing the NO MORE PSA Campaign
Today, with great excitement, gratitude and pride, we reveal an unprecedented PSA campaign for NO MORE. Directed by Joyful Heart's Founder & President, Mariska Hargitay, our cast includes more than 40 celebrities and public figures who have joined the campaign—added their voices—to say NO MORE to domestic violence and sexual assault.
Behind the NO MORE movement is a symbol. The peace sign, the red ribbon, the pink ribbon—each of them has changed how we think about, respond to and behave around urgent issues. Now the movement working to bring domestic violence and sexual assault to an end comes together under one symbol, one sign, one beacon:
NO MORE
And the need couldn't be greater. We know that these issues thrive in darkness, that survivors carry the immense weight of these crimes because there is a lack of conversation, understanding and support. Our society blames survivors and makes excuses for what has happened to them. A new study for NO MORE released by the Avon Foundation for Women found that 60 percent of Americans 15 years of age or older know a victim of domestic violence or sexual assault. Among the 70 percent of women who have experienced domestic violence and told someone about it, more than half said that no one helped them. Through NO MORE, we aim to reverse these statistics. We are not in this alone. Please join the courageous celebrities, the generous companies, our dedicated partners in the field and the thousands more who have already added their voices to say NO MORE to domestic violence and sexual assault.
SAY IT.
Learn about these issues and talk openly about them. Break the silence. Speak out. Seek help when you see this problem or harassment of any kind in your family, your community, your workplace or school. Upload your photo to the NO MORE gallery and tell us why you say NO MORE.

Other ways you can say NO MORE
This afternoon on the Katie Show, Mariska will be discussing NO MORE and the new PSA campaign, and our video spot will make its television premiere on the show. She is joined by former NFL star Troy Vincent, Detroit Prosecutor Kym Worthy, A CALL TO MEN co-founder Ted Bunch, Joyful Heart board member and her husband Peter Hermann, and two courageous survivors, Helena and Katie, who bravely share their stories with the world. Find out when and where you can watch here.
We invite you to follow Joyful Heart and NO MORE on social media, join the conversation using the hashtag #NOMOREexcuses and add your voice to our Thunderclap.
And if you're in New York, join us on Wednesday, 9/25, outside the TODAY Show, where Mariska will be discussing the season premiere of Law & Order: SVU and proudly wearing her NO MORE gear. Following that, come on over to Bloomingdale's on 59th Street. Mariska will be making a personal appearance—taking photos and signing autographs for all those who purchase a NO MORE tee from Bloomingdale's, available there. $8 from each tee will directly support our work.
Most of all, we're asking you to watch and share the PSAs. Have the conversation—turn up the volume. We cannot do it without you.
Thank you from the bottom of my very grateful, joyful heart for joining us. And thank you to the fearless NO MORE Steering Committee and Executive Committee, as well as the individuals and companies whose creativity and support have made this campaign possible: Rachel Howald, Timothy White,Y&R, the Ad Council and the Entertainment Industry Foundation.
Together, we can end—yes, end—domestic violence and sexual assault.
With deep gratitude,
Maile Zambuto
